Overview

The Distribution Center Team Member at Tractor Supply Company is responsible for efficiently handling tasks related to receiving, processing, and shipping merchandise within the distribution center. This is an entry-level position that focuses on maintaining accuracy, safety, and productivity in accordance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and unload shipments, direct merchandise to appropriate areas
  • Check inventory against bills of lading and packing slips
  • Take inventory of merchandise and maintain accurate records
  • Identify, label, and palletize merchandise for shipping
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure all job assignments are completed accurately and safely
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Required skills

  • 0-2 years of experience in a distribution center
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds continuously
  • Basic English reading and comprehension skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment operation
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and safety regulations
