Overview

As a Distinguished AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be pivotal in building enterprise-level AI systems that transform customer interactions and empower internal teams. Working within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, your role involves designing scalable AI workflows and collaborating on cutting-edge AI products that enhance productivity and customer engagement across various business lines.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design and standardize agentic workflows and shared services.
  • Evaluate and implement agentic frameworks to optimize enterprise SLAs.
  • Contribute to the development of an end-to-end GenAI SDK and CLI.
  • Ensure trust and safety through central guardrail services.
  • Collaborate with architects to improve end-to-end performance.
  • Incubate proof of concepts and drive requests for comments (RFCs).
  • Mentor and coach engineers, and represent the company at conferences.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI.
  • 8+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Agentic Frameworks like LangChain and AutoGen.
  • Experience with LLMOps tools such as Google Cloud Vertex AI and Amazon SageMaker.
  • Knowledge of designing mission-critical machine learning platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Responsible AI and data privacy principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and multi-tenant security patterns.
