Overview

As a Distinguished AI Engineer at Capital One in Richmond, Virginia, you will be instrumental in creating responsible AI systems that enhance customer experiences and streamline banking processes. Working within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI-powered products, utilizing advanced technologies to reimagine services for customers and businesses alike.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques for production AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • 8+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Ability to architect and support complex AI systems
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
