Overview

The Dishwasher at Square One Concepts is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes and kitchen equipment. This role involves operating commercial dishwashing equipment, assisting kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and organized dishwashing area while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen tools.
  • Sort and stack clean dishes, glassware, and silverware in designated storage areas.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines in handling chemicals and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team to coordinate tasks.
  • Be flexible in assisting various areas of the kitchen as needed.

Required skills

  • Food safety knowledge and compliance with sanitation protocols
  • Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities
  • Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Valid Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to learn cash register software (e.g., Toast, Hot Schedule, Paylocity)
