Overview

The Director of VBC Market Operations for U.S. Renal Care in Honolulu, Hawaii, is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of value-based care programs. This role involves building relationships with healthcare providers, collaborating with internal teams to develop strategies for improved clinical and financial outcomes, and driving process improvements within the nephrology sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of value-based care program requirements
  • Manage key performance metrics for providers under value-based contracts
  • Collaborate with clinical and financial teams to develop performance initiatives
  • Implement operational and clinical process improvements with providers
  • Own financial, clinical, and quality performance within the market
  • Design and document new processes and workflows in collaboration with analytics and care teams
  • Work effectively in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Promote customer service standards and develop relationships at all organizational levels
  • Participate in team concepts and promote a collaborative effort

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
  • Minimum eight years experience in healthcare
  • Management consulting and/or process improvement experience preferred
  • Experience in a start-up environment preferred
  • Experience with value-based care programs preferred
  • Experience managing physician relationships required
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
