Overview

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a Director of Surgical Services in Columbus, Georgia. This role involves overseeing all functions of the Perioperative Services Division, ensuring efficient operations, staffing, and quality improvement while supporting a collaborative environment focused on patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Assume administrative responsibility for all areas of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
  • Create and manage the capital and operating budgets for the division.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
  • Promote communication among patients, families, and hospital departments.
  • Serve as a liaison between medical staff and nursing staff.
  • Coordinate unit orientation programs and educational initiatives for staff.
  • Evaluate the quality of patient care and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
