Overview

The Director of Supply Chain Management at Rutland Regional Medical Center is responsible for managing all activities related to the procurement of supplies and equipment. This includes overseeing inventory management, vendor relationships, contract management, and ensuring compliance with various regulations while focusing on cost management and revenue enhancement.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement of supplies and equipment
  • Manage vendor credentialing and relationships
  • Facilitate participation in Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and Northeast Purchasing Coalition (NPC)
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, state, federal, and local regulations
  • Achieve departmental targets for cost management and supplier diversity
  • Administer and develop department budgets
  • Lead and manage supply chain team

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 10 years of supply chain/purchasing experience in healthcare or similar industry
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and budget management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of departmental equipment and inventory
  • Problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
