Overview

The Director of Retail National Sales at Overhead Door Corporation is responsible for driving profitable growth and market share for Genie garage door openers within the retail channel, specifically with Lowe's and Orgill. This role involves developing strategic relationships, executing joint business plans, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to enhance brand visibility and sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all aspects of Lowe's and Orgill within the retail channel
  • Lead sales activities with Lowe's to create profitable opportunities for Genie
  • Implement annual sales and business plans that align Genie with customer strategies
  • Coordinate with the Product Marketing team to develop and launch new products
  • Provide competitive intelligence and insights on key customer personnel
  • Participate in the SIOP process and develop monthly unit and dollar forecasts

Required skills

  • Minimum of 7 years sales and sales management/marketing experience
  • Experience in consumer durable goods, preferably electrical/mechanical
  • Knowledge of sales processes, brand marketing, and market research
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing or Business
