This role allows you to have a meaningful impact on the organization by leveraging your expertise in commercial credit, portfolio oversight, and team leadership while supporting sustainable business development. You play a central role in guiding underwriting decisions, strengthening credit quality, and supporting commercial partners with well-structured financing solutions. Your ability to combine judgment, rigor, and collaboration helps ensure positive outcomes for clients, teams, and the Bank. Your job: Lead a team of underwriting specialists by providing coaching, feedback and development opportunities that enhance their expertise. Oversee the analysis and structuring of commercial credit transactions for current and prospective clients, ensuring that recommendations are well-supported and in line with risk appetite. Review credit applications to ensure the quality of financial analysis, risk identification and proposed mitigation measures. Contribute to complex transactions by supporting their deal structuring and preparing, when required, credit applications. Collaborate with the Market Lead, Commercial Account Managers, and Credit Risk Management teams to support portfolio growth and sound decision-making. Monitor the loan portfolio to ensure continued adherence to internal parameters and credit quality expectations. Your team: The Commercial Banking sector brings together professionals who support commercial clients through tailored financial solutions and strong advisory expertise. You work within an ecosystem of specialists who collaborate closely to meet client needs and drive responsible growth. You will lead a team of four underwriting professionals who report directly to you. In this role, you will work closely with your team, the Market Lead, Sales Leader, Commercial Account Managers, and other internal partners to support disciplined credit execution, strong portfolio management, and client-focused solutions. This position reports directly to the AVP & Market Lead for the Tri Cities District. The Bank values continuous development and internal mobility.
