Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Director of Operations Management to lead significant operational change across a multi-site aerospace manufacturing enterprise. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in aerospace and defense to modernize planning, execution systems, and foster sustained transformation at scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect and lead large-scale operational change in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Shape strategies for planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering capabilities.
  • Lead enterprise-level system overhauls, ensuring effective integration across departments.
  • Develop multi-year e3 roadmaps and kaizen strategies with financial commitments.
  • Train, mentor, and grow the next generation of lean leaders.
  • Provide strategic leadership for operational analytics and standard work deployment.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience leading continuous improvement organizations or 19 years in lieu of a degr
  • Deep expertise in manufacturing, industrial engineering, and operations transformation.
  • Experience with enterprise-level system implementations (SAP, MRP, MES, PES).
  • Strong background in AS9100, ISO standards, and aerospace regulatory environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and change leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
