Overview

The Director of Oncology Quality and Analytics at Carilion Clinic will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive oncology quality strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and growth objectives for the cancer program. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, monitoring key performance indicators, translating complex data into actionable insights, and managing multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive oncology quality strategy
  • Define, monitor, and report programmatic KPIs across oncology services
  • Translate clinical and operational data into reports for oncology leadership
  • Leverage registry data for quality studies and program improvement
  • Ensure timely delivery of actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Manage multiple departments and support staff for cost-effectiveness
  • Plan and implement directives, policies, and procedures
  • Develop budget and monitor operational plans for multiple departments
  • Champion Carilion's mission, vision, and values
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's preferred
  • 5-7 years of management experience in oncology or healthcare
  • Licensure and/or certification in a medical or management discipline
  • Leadership, planning, and organizational skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills for a respectful culture
  • Skills in clinical, operational, and human resource management
