Job Description

Overview

The Director of Sterile Processing will oversee the sterile processing department in a healthcare facility in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This leadership role requires strong communication and technical skills, as well as significant experience in sterile processing and team management.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the sterile processing department
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
  • Support various departments including Endo, OR, CVOR, L&D, and outpatient clinics
  • Oversee a team of 7 Team Leads and 80 FTEs
  • Utilize the SPM Workflow system for efficient operations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Nursing or completion of a Two-Year Surgical Technology Course
  • CSPDT or CRCST certification (IAHCSMM required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sterile Processing with progressive leadership experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Technical skills in sterile processing and surgical technology
  • Knowledge of OR instrumentation and infection control
  • Acute Care experience
