Description: Founded in 1866, The Floating Hospital (TFH) is one of the last remaining charity hospitals in New York City. Our commitment is the same as it was 160 years ago: unrestricted healthcare to all who walk through our doors, regardless of identity, insurance status, orthe ability to pay. We welcome individuals of all ages, from infants, school-age children (5+), youth and adults. The Floating Hospital is a Federally Qualified Health Center and the largest provider to homeless families living in family shelters and domestic violence safe houses throughout all five boroughs.TFH is seeking an experienced, passionate, and detail-oriented homeless family and community Outreach Director to represent TFH in its relationships with directors of both homeless family shelters and domestic violence safe houses, residents in public housing, and community residents. This managerial position will supervise several outreach staff, will build strong partnerships with case managers and social workers at the non-profits who operate the shelters and safe houses, and ensure effective coordination within TFH departments that serve both populations. Data and reporting experience is expected, along with prior sales experience.The candidate selected for this role will be selling the services TFH has to offer: medical, dental, behavioral health, podiatry, and optometry services to the populations in which we serve.Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Clinical Administration/Chief Medical Officer, the successful candidate will oversee up to 6.0 FTEs. This is an on-site, Monday - Friday position, with some evening work related to attending and presenting at workshops/fairs as required.Essential functions include:Families In Temporary Housing OutreachMarket TFH services to the family homeless shelter networkMarket TFH services to the family domestic violence safe house networkFocus on increasing patient visits within the above-two demographicsInform Shelter Directors, Directors of Social Services and Case Managers of the services TFH offers to shelter residentsConduct presentations, set up information desks and participate in health fairs to shelter residents about TFH servicesCreate linkage agreements with organizations that run homeless and domestic violence sheltersIdentify new trends among the families and individuals living in sheltersParticipate in coalitions that serve homeless families and individualsEnsure safe and efficient door-to-door transportation to homeless and domestic violence shelter residentsCommunity OutreachMarket TFH services to Long Island City CommunityFocus on increasing patient visits within the above demographicAttend Monthly Community MeetingsRepresent TFH within the LIC communityOrganize and Participate in Weekday/Weekend Community Health FairsParticipate in Community InitiativesGeneralConduct ongoing tours of the clinic(s)Prepare statistics and reports for upper managementAssist patients during their visits at TFH Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Communications/Marketing).• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare outreach, outreach to vulnerable populations, public speaking, and program management; prior sales experience required; bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.• Proficiency in working with EHR/Microsoft systems and software and exporting/analyzing healthcare data.• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.• Ability to multitask on several projects at once.• Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) knowledge and experience helpful.• Possess a passion and commitment toward TFH's organizational mission.• Valid NYS driver's license.• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Compensation details: 00 Yearly SalaryPI62f7030dfe6d-1514
