Job Description

Overview

A.O. Smith is seeking a Director of SAP Customer Enablement to lead a team focused on quote to cash business processes and the introduction of new digital business processes. This role involves close collaboration with various business units and stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions that align with the company's go-to market strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical leader and liaison for quote to cash business processes
  • Conduct regular engagement with sponsors and stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements
  • Identify opportunities for business process simplification and optimization using Lean and Agile methodologies
  • Lead implementations for successful delivery of internal solutions and manage external vendors
  • Mentor technical team members and integrate technical expertise with business understanding
  • Develop and manage project plans and schedules to track project progress
  • Support the creation of strategic roadmaps aligning with long-term requirements
  • Contribute to cross-functional efforts for ERP systems optimization and operational efficiency

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or IT Sciences
  • 12+ years of experience using IT for optimization and change
  • 5+ years of functional/configuration experience in SAP
  • 7+ years in a leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodology
  • 3 full lifecycle implementations of SAP ECC/S4 in a lead role
  • Strong communication skills and effective in matrix management
  • Understanding of process integration across business areas
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Experience with Salesforce and Web Portals is preferred
