Overview

The Director of Pharmacy at UnitedHealth Group will oversee all pharmacy operations at River Valley Behavioral, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and federal laws. This role is pivotal in driving innovations in pharmacy practices to enhance patient care and operational performance within the hospital's mental health services.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise drug information maintenance and dissemination to hospital personnel
  • Provide professional and technical guidance to pharmacy staff
  • Assist staff pharmacists with routine duties as needed
  • Lead customer service and performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage financial aspects of pharmacy operations

Required skills

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in Kentucky
  • 1+ years of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • 5+ years of pharmacy management (preferred)
  • 3+ years of hospital experience (preferred)
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
