Overview

As the Director of Pharmacy at River Valley Behavioral, part of the Optum family, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and state and federal laws while striving for better patient outcomes. You'll lead a team of pharmacy professionals to enhance operational, financial, and clinical performance within the healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise pharmacy operations in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice.
  • Recommend innovations in pharmacy practices to hospital administration.
  • Oversee the maintenance and dissemination of drug information through education.
  • Provide professional and technical guidance to pharmacy personnel.
  • Directly assist staff pharmacists when necessary.
  • Lead customer service and performance improvement initiatives.

Required skills

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of KY
  • 1+ years of recent pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • 5+ years of Pharmacy management (preferred)
  • 3+ years of hospital experience (preferred)
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation
