Overview

Graber Manufacturing, Inc. is a family-owned company dedicated to crafting high-quality commercial bike racks and site furnishings. They are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead their manufacturing organization, focusing on operational excellence and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all operational functions including manufacturing, engineering, materials, logistics, warehouse, shipping, and maintenance
  • Drive production performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company growth
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure a strong culture of safety and quality (OSHA compliance)
  • Partner with leadership across Finance, HR, and Commerce teams
  • Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and operational metrics

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Business with manufacturing experience
  • 8-10+ years of leadership experience in metal fabrication or custom manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and finishing processes (powder coating, galvanizing, e-coating)
  • Experience with SolidWorks (2023+), ERP/MRP systems (Sage 100 preferred), and Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and drive results
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
