Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will lead the development and implementation of a company-wide maintenance reliability organization. This role is essential for enhancing asset management across manufacturing sites, ensuring operational resilience, and maintaining productivity while reducing costs.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization.
  • Deploy a standardized reliability operating model across all sites.
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment.
  • Implement rebuild and life cycle strategies for high-value assets.
  • Partner with site Maintenance Managers to enhance maintenance planning and execution.
  • Own the enterprise CMMS strategy and standards.
  • Lead the development of maintenance and reliability KPIs.
  • Provide technical oversight for capital projects and major overhauls.
  • Build capability through training and mentoring of maintenance personnel.
  • Serve as the subject matter leader for precision maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Ensure maintenance practices comply with food safety and quality requirements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership.
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Expertise in maintenance and reliability methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
  • Ability to develop and execute equipment life cycle strategies.
  • Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
