Job Description

Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a maintenance reliability organization across all manufacturing sites to enhance asset management. The role requires strategic collaboration with various departments to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization
  • Develop and implement standardized reliability operating models
  • Govern enterprise asset strategies including preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Define and execute equipment rebuild and life cycle strategies
  • Partner with Maintenance Managers to improve planning and execution
  • Own the enterprise CMMS strategy ensuring data integrity and effective maintenance data use
  • Lead maintenance and reliability KPI development and deployment
  • Provide oversight for capital projects and major overhauls
  • Train and mentor maintenance and reliability staff
  • Stay updated on emerging reliability technologies and best practices
  • Support food safety and quality compliance

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership
  • Experience in leading multi-site reliability programs
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing performance metrics
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies like RCM, TPM, and predictive maintenance
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Ability to develop organization and systems from the ground up
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with different stakeholders
