Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company is responsible for building and leading a comprehensive maintenance reliability organization across all manufacturing sites. This role involves partnering with various departments to enhance operational resilience, reduce costs, and ensure effective asset management.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization with defined mission and structure.
  • Deploy a standardized reliability operating model to support Maintenance Managers across all sites.
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical and common equipment.
  • Define and implement rebuild and life cycle strategies for high-value assets.
  • Partner with site Maintenance Managers to enhance maintenance planning and execution.
  • Own the CMMS strategy and ensure data integrity for maintenance decisions.
  • Develop and deploy maintenance and reliability KPIs to prioritize improvement efforts.
  • Provide technical oversight for capital projects and major equipment overhauls.
  • Build capabilities through training and mentoring of maintenance resources.
  • Support compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership.
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing performance metrics and maintenance cost drivers.
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies such as RCM, TPM, and predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and spare parts strategies.
  • Ability to develop and execute equipment rebuild and life cycle strategies.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
