Job Description

Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a company-wide maintenance reliability organization aimed at enhancing asset management across all manufacturing sites. This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, and Capital Planning to drive reliability efforts that improve productivity and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead an enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization with a clear mission and governance.
  • Deploy a standardized reliability operating model across all sites.
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment focusing on preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance.
  • Implement life cycle strategies for high-value assets to optimize costs and reduce downtime.
  • Enhance maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution discipline through collaboration with site Maintenance Managers.
  • Own the enterprise CMMS strategy, ensuring data integrity and effective use of maintenance data.
  • Develop and track maintenance and reliability KPIs to prioritize improvement efforts.
  • Provide oversight for capital projects and equipment rebuilds ensuring effective management.
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Managers and planners to build enterprise capability.
  • Ensure all reliability practices support safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership in manufacturing.
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics and maintenance cost drivers.
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies including RCM, TPM, precision maintenance, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to develop and execute equipment rebuild and life cycle strategies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging various stakeholders.
