Job Description

Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a company-wide maintenance reliability organization, ensuring high-performing asset management across all manufacturing sites. This leadership role will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Capital Planning to translate reliability efforts into productivity gains and improved operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization
  • Deploy a standardized reliability operating model across all sites
  • Develop and govern enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment
  • Define and implement life cycle strategies for high-value assets
  • Partner with Maintenance Managers to improve maintenance planning and execution
  • Own enterprise CMMS strategy and data integrity
  • Develop and deploy maintenance and reliability KPIs
  • Provide oversight for capital projects and major overhauls
  • Build capability through training and mentoring of maintenance staff
  • Stay current on reliability technologies and asset management best practices
  • Support food safety and quality standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance or engineering leadership
  • Experience in multi-site reliability programs
  • Knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies including RCM and TPM
  • Strong understanding of CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Ability to develop equipment rebuild strategies
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Strategic thinker with analytical skills
