Job Description

Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will lead and build a company-wide maintenance reliability organization to ensure high-performing asset management across all manufacturing sites. This role requires strategic collaboration with operations, supply chain, and capital planning to enhance productivity, decrease maintenance costs, and improve operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead an enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization.
  • Deploy standardized reliability operating models across all sites.
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical and common equipment.
  • Implement rebuild and life cycle strategies for high-value assets.
  • Partner with site Maintenance Managers to enhance maintenance planning and execution.
  • Own enterprise CMMS strategy and ensure data integrity.
  • Lead the development and deployment of maintenance and reliability KPIs.
  • Provide technical oversight for capital projects and equipment rebuilds.
  • Build enterprise capability through training and mentoring.
  • Support compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership.
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies like RCM and TPM.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
  • Proven ability in developing equipment life cycle strategies.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
