Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a new maintenance reliability organization across all manufacturing sites, ensuring effective asset management. This role involves strategic partnership with Operations, Supply Chain, and Capital Planning to enhance productivity and operational resilience through standardized reliability practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new Maintenance Reliability organization
  • Deploy a standardized reliability operating model at all sites
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment
  • Implement lifecycle strategies for high-value assets
  • Partner with site Maintenance Managers to enhance planning and execution discipline
  • Own enterprise CMMS strategy and ensure data integrity
  • Lead development and deployment of maintenance and reliability KPIs
  • Provide leadership for capital projects and equipment overhauls
  • Build capability through training and mentoring of maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability leadership
  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
  • Understanding of manufacturing performance metrics and maintenance cost drivers
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies like RCM and TPM
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Ability to develop and execute equipment life cycle strategies
  • Strong influence skills and ability to lead through matrixed relationships
  • Analytical skills and bias for action
  • Effective communication skills
