Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a company-wide maintenance reliability organization to enhance asset management across manufacturing sites. This strategic role involves collaborating with various departments to improve productivity and operational resilience while ensuring effective maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the establishment of a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization.
  • Define and deploy a standardized reliability operating model across all manufacturing sites.
  • Develop enterprise asset strategies for critical and common equipment.
  • Implement maintenance and rebuild strategies to optimize total cost of ownership and reduce downtime.
  • Partner with site Maintenance Managers to enhance maintenance planning and execution.
  • Own the enterprise CMMS strategy ensuring data integrity and usable maintenance data.
  • Develop and deploy maintenance and reliability KPIs.
  • Provide reliability leadership and oversight for capital projects and major overhauls.
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Managers and reliability teams.
  • Ensure practices support food safety, quality, and safety requirements.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability leadership.
  • Experience in multi-site reliability programs or enterprise asset management.
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Deep expertise in reliability methodologies like RCM and predictive maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
  • Proven ability to build organizations and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Effective communication with various stakeholders.
  • Capable of operating in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
