Job Description

Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will build and lead a company-wide maintenance reliability organization to enhance asset management across all manufacturing sites. This strategic role involves collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Capital Planning to ensure reliability initiatives drive productivity, reduce costs, and bolster operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish a standardized reliability operating model across all sites
  • Develop and govern enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment
  • Implement life cycle strategies for high-value assets to optimize cost and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with site Maintenance Managers to enhance maintenance planning and execution
  • Own the CMMS strategy and standards for effective maintenance data management
  • Lead development and deployment of maintenance and reliability KPIs
  • Provide technical oversight for capital projects and major equipment overhauls
  • Build capability through training and mentoring of maintenance staff
  • Stay updated on emerging reliability technologies and best practices
  • Support food safety and quality standards in all practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership
  • Experience in multi-site reliability programs or enterprise asset management
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing metrics and maintenance cost drivers
  • Deep expertise in reliability methodologies like RCM and TPM
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
