Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will lead the establishment of a maintenance reliability organization to enhance asset management across all manufacturing sites. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure reliability initiatives translate into improved productivity, reduced costs, and enhanced operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and lead the enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization.
  • Establish a standardized reliability operating model across all sites.
  • Develop and govern asset strategies for critical and common equipment.
  • Define and implement life cycle strategies for high-value assets.
  • Improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution discipline.
  • Own the enterprise CMMS strategy and standards.
  • Lead the development and deployment of maintenance and reliability KPIs.
  • Oversee reliability for capital projects, equipment rebuilds, and overhauls.
  • Build organizational capability through training and mentoring.
  • Stay updated on emerging reliability technologies and best practices.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership.
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Expertise in maintenance and reliability methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
  • Ability to develop equipment lifecycle strategies.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
