Overview

The Director of Maintenance at Aviation Advisor, Inc. is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of the company's fleet of Part 91 and 135 aircraft. This role involves leading the maintenance department, overseeing regulatory compliance, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders including clients and the FAA.

Key responsibilities

  • Represent the company with industry groups and regulatory bodies
  • Lead the development and implementation of efficient procedures and growth strategies
  • Ensure the maintenance department is properly staffed and managed
  • Promote a positive working culture and employee engagement
  • Oversee all inspections, repairs, and documentation compliance
  • Maintain records and logbooks of aircraft maintenance
  • Coordinate maintenance work around flight schedules
  • Act as the primary contact for flight crews regarding maintenance discrepancies

Required skills

  • 7-10 years of experience in general aviation maintenance operations
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Knowledge of FAR regulations and current A&P certification
  • Experience with aircraft management record keeping programs like CAMP
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent project management skills
