Overview

Cherry County Hospital is seeking a collaborative and experienced leader for the role of Director of Home Health and Employee Health Services in Valentine, Nebraska. This full-time, salaried position is vital for ensuring high-quality patient care and supporting employee health and wellness through strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and management of home health and employee health departments
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and employee health staff
  • Oversee delivery of skilled nursing, therapy, and support services in patient homes
  • Manage admissions, care planning, coordination, and discharge processes
  • Direct employee health programs including screenings, immunizations, and occupational health services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Certification in Home Health or Occupational Health (preferred)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in home health or related healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, OSHA, and healthcare regulatory standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
