Overview

The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) is seeking a Director of Grants to lead the administration and oversight of all grant programs administered by VTC. This role will serve as the liaison between VTC and tourism industry partners. Responsibilities: Ensure effective deployment of grant funding to support tourism growth across the CommonwealthProvide technical assistance and application guidance, program education, grant evaluation, compliance monitory, and performance reportingDeliver presentations and support engagement with tourism partners and stakeholdersImplement new software systems and industry trends for VTC grant programs Skills: Strong communication and organizational skillsEffectively manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEffectively manage, lead, and develop a high-performing teamAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environmentExhibit sound judgment in making decisions and maintain confidentiality on sensitive mattersComprehensive knowledge of grant administration, including program design, compliance, monitoring, and reportingStrong understanding of public-sector funding requirements and financial oversightFamiliarity with tourism and economic development principlesDemonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, program evaluation, and team leadershipProficiency using multiple software packages including Microsoft Office Suite Experience: Experience in business, public administration, communications, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred This position will need to have the ability to telecommute, access reliable internet connectivity, and the discipline to work independently from a home office within the Commonwealth. Periodic travel to the Richmond office and throughout the Commonwealth. A valid driver's license is required.Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
