Job Description

Overview

Revolution Flight LLC is seeking a Director of General Aviation Maintenance/A&P Mechanic/IA to lead and oversee their general aviation maintenance operations. This role involves managing daily workflows of customer-owned aircraft while ensuring all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee general aviation maintenance operations, workflow, scheduling, and shop priorities
  • Perform and/or oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Manage customer aircraft status, maintenance timelines, priorities, and communication
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing maintenance contact and provide professional service
  • Help retain and attract new general aviation maintenance customers
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
  • Complete and oversee maintenance records and documentation
  • Coordinate parts, tooling, staffing needs, and shop resources to minimize downtime
  • Provide leadership and oversight to mechanics, apprentices, and support personnel
  • Monitor quality of work, regulatory compliance, and overall department performance
  • Communicate maintenance status and customer needs effectively to company leadership
  • Support on-call airline maintenance call outs as required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional maintenance environment

Required skills

  • 3+ years of general aviation maintenance experience
  • Prior maintenance leadership or management experience
  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
  • Ability to obtain Inspection Authorization (IA) within 90 days
  • Strong troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and regulatory compliance skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer aircraft and changing priorities
  • Hands-on experience in daily maintenance operations

  • $80,000-$90,000 base salary annually based on experience
  • Estimated total compensation and benefits package value: $129,782-$142,782 annually
