Overview

The Diocese of Green Bay is seeking a Director of Finance for the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System in Appleton, Wisconsin. This strategic leadership role involves overseeing financial planning, accounting oversight, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the financial sustainability of the school system.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop long-range financial plans for system sustainability
  • Oversee accounting tasks including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
  • Prepare monthly financial statements complying with GAAP
  • Conduct annual financial audits and prepare necessary documentation
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets
  • Manage vendor contracts for the food service program
  • Manage banking relationships and create investment strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with Parishes and Business Managers
  • Manage needs-based scholarship administration
  • Lead and manage the Accounting Manager and accounting team

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive management/leadership experience
  • Experience in private school and non-profit sectors
  • Senior-level accounting or management experience
  • Strategic planning oversight and reporting
