The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organization's growth, by utilizing their expertise in construction to accurately forecast project costs. Responsibilities: 1. Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. 2. Review and interpret technical construction blueprints, design drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates. 3. Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimation and bidding. 4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to provide advice on construction cost management. 5. Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals and bids for fairness, accuracy, and completeness. 6. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, cost fluctuations, and the local construction market to ensure the most accurate and competitive estimates. 7. Prepare and present detailed reports or bids for clients and stakeholders. 8. Manage and maintain all estimation documentation, including updating databases and tracking systems. 9. Participate in negotiations and discussions with contractors and suppliers. 10. Provide post-bid analysis on awarded projects and offer insights for future bidding strategies. Qualifications: 1. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 10 years of estimating experience - must have large scale, ground up project experience. 3. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, schematics, and plans. 4. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to create accurate, detailed estimates. 5. Proficiency in estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. 6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences. 7. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices and terms. 8. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines. 9. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. 10. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards. 11. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and devise solutions in advance. 12.
