Job Description

Overview

The Director of Engineering Services at Clarios will lead the St Joseph Manufacturing Engineering, Operational Excellence, and Maintenance teams to optimize manufacturing processes. This strategic role focuses on enhancing operational improvements, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety standards across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing process improvement
  • Coach technical teams on problem solving and lead problem-solving teams
  • Oversee maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Lead commissioning and integration of new equipment and technologies
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets and vendor contracts
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams on best practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in process controls and automation projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean preferred
  • Strong influence and data-driven decision-making skills
