Job Description

Overview

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) is seeking a Director of Donor Engagement responsible for advancing the philanthropic goals of the SIR Foundation. This role is focused on growing the endowment, managing major gift prospects, and enhancing donor stewardship programs, all while leading key fundraising events to support the Foundation's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for growing the SIR Foundation endowment and expanding the 1989 Society.
  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and major gift prospects.
  • Lead fundraising events, including the SIR Foundation Gala and other special events.
  • Supervise the development team and ensure alignment in fundraising goals.
  • Design and implement stewardship strategies for individual donors and enhance donor engagement.
  • Track fundraising metrics and provide analysis to leadership.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage the DonorPerfect CRM and ensure its effective use.

Required skills

  • Experience in major gift campaigns and corporate giving
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and membership databases
  • Understanding of general accounting practices
  • Budget preparation and analysis skills
  • Seven or more years of experience in development programs, preferably in a nonprofit
