Job Description

Overview

The Director of Credit Risk at Made Card will lead the company's credit risk strategy across the customer lifecycle. This role will focus on underwriting, pricing, segmentation, and decision-making for the credit card product, while also overseeing performance and development of credit models.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and optimize credit strategies for new account approvals
  • Develop, refine, and monitor credit policies and customer segmentation strategies
  • Design pricing and credit limit frameworks to maximize risk-adjusted returns
  • Build, own, and continuously improve credit risk models and decision thresholds
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to maintain portfolio quality and profitability
  • Conduct manual reviews and handle credit bureau disputes

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in consumer lending or credit risk
  • Experience in fintech environments
  • Hands-on experience with credit risk models and credit bureau data
  • Strong technical skills in Python and SQL
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate strategies effectively
