Job Description

Overview

The Director of Compliance, Quality & Risk at Tufts Medicine Care at Home is responsible for overseeing the Quality and Risk Management program, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of patient safety. This leadership role involves collaboration with medical staff to enhance clinical services and execute performance improvement initiatives within the home care and hospice sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive Safety, Quality, and Performance Improvement program.
  • Ensure clinical services comply with state and federal regulations and National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Lead patient safety and quality committees and manage organizational communication.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify vulnerabilities and enhance compliance strategies.
  • Direct safety, quality, and performance improvement initiatives in coordination with medical staff.
  • Monitor and report on clinical guidelines, healthcare quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Manage department staff, setting standards and providing training and evaluations.
  • Prepare and present standard reports for leadership and board use.
  • Oversee a team of coding clinicians, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Represent Care at Home in system-wide quality initiatives.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Current state license in the clinical field.
  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in Home Care management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of home care and hospice regulations, industry best practices, and coding protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to facilitate change and motivate teams.
