Overview

The Director of Commercial FP&A at Vaco by Highspring will lead the Commercial FP&A and Business Insights teams, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. This strategic role requires collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Pricing & Costing to enhance Finance's position as a vital business partner, aiming for growth while ensuring integrity and accountability.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee financial model development and sensitivity analyses.
  • Develop annual and long-term financial plans.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Retail and Foodservice.
  • Drive standardization and automation of FP&A processes.
  • Provide commercial decision support and profitability insights.
  • Analyze complex financial information to develop models.
  • Govern trade strategy and partner with Pricing & Costing.
  • Prepare presentations for board of directors and senior management.
  • Develop team capabilities and ensure understanding of financial processes.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance or related area
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • 12-15 years of experience in finance roles
  • 7 years of management experience
  • Experience with Retail and Foodservice businesses
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and FP&A tooling
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Generative AI applications in finance
