Overview

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director of Commercial FP&A for a leading North American processor and marketer of frozen goods. This role involves leading the Commercial FP&A and Business Insights teams, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. The Director will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Pricing & Costing teams to advance Finance's role as a strategic partner and drive data-informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business objectives.
  • Lead Commercial Business Insights across Retail and Foodservice.
  • Provide commercial decision support and profitability insights.
  • Drive standardization and automation of FP&A processes.
  • Collaborate with management teams on financial plans and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial information to provide recommendations.
  • Prepare presentations for board and senior management.
  • Enhance team capabilities and ensure understanding of FP&A processes.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance or related area; MBA/CPA preferred.
  • 12-15 years of experience in finance roles with at least 7 years in management.
  • Experience in supporting Retail and Foodservice businesses in North America.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and modern FP&A tooling.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI applications in finance an asset.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
