Job Description

Overview

The Director of Audit for Finance at City National Bank will lead a team of audit professionals to ensure compliance with key regulations and oversee various internal audit assurance activities for core Finance entities. This role involves evaluating risks, analyzing business processes, and making recommendations to enhance the control environment in Finance.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the FDICIA/SOX audit and communicate control deficiencies to management
  • Prepare and design the annual audit plan for Finance audit entities
  • Review audit findings and reports drafted by the audit team
  • Leverage data analysis and insights across the audit lifecycle
  • Advise Executives on internal controls and governance
  • Manage regulatory requests and examinations with regulators and external audit
  • Direct and counsel internal auditors on engagements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services or Big 4 accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years managing staff
  • Experience in Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk Management
  • Professional Designation (CIA, CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM) preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial and regulatory compliance risk
  • Experience with US regulators such as OCC and Federal Reserve
  • Strong experience in data analytics and visualization tools like Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in a matrixed organization
