Job Description

Overview

The Director of Audit for Finance at City National Bank will lead a team of audit professionals to ensure compliance with various regulations, including FDICIA, SOX, and CCAR. This role focuses on overseeing audits within core Finance entities and enhancing the internal control environment through evaluation and analysis of business risks and processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage financial and IT audit professionals and oversee audit compliance.
  • Coordinate annual audits and communicate control deficiencies to management.
  • Prepare and execute annual audit plans for finance audit entities.
  • Leverage data analytics to gain insights throughout the audit lifecycle.
  • Advise executives on internal controls and governance during audits.
  • Direct and manage internal auditors and review audit reports for accuracy.
  • Coordinate regulatory requests and examinations with bank regulators.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in financial services or public accounting
  • 5 years of experience managing staff
  • Experience in Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk Management
  • Professional Designation (CIA, CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM) preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in financial and regulatory compliance risk
  • Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Understanding of core technology applications and infrastructure
