Overview

The Director of Nutrition Services at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute provides strategic and clinical leadership for nutrition services, ensuring patient-centered care and compliance with standards in a high-acuity oncology setting. This role is pivotal in aligning nutrition services with the organization's goals and regulations, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations and financial management of the department.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a nutrition services strategy aligned with Institute priorities
  • Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical practice standards for oncology nutrition care
  • Lead day-to-day operations of nutrition services, including staffing and workflows
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection prevention standards
  • Develop and manage budgets; evaluate and manage vendor contracts
  • Establish dashboards and key metrics to drive process improvement
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition services into care pathways
