Overview

The Director of Nursing for OB/NICU/PEDS at Mercy Hospital Southeast is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple cost centers that provide patient care services. This leadership role involves collaboration with community and regional organizations, and participation in system-driven councils and committees to enhance patient care within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage multiple cost centers providing patient care services
  • Serve on community and regional organizations
  • Participate in system-driven councils, committees, and task forces
  • Coordinate and integrate patient care complexities
  • Model professionalism and uphold Mercy's mission and values

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field (or plan for completion)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Missouri
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Nurse Manager
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Continuing education on healthcare advances
  • Active participation in community/professional organizations
  • Nationally recognized nursing certification (preferred)
