Overview

The Director, Institutional ETF & Solutions Distribution is responsible for driving sales and servicing BMO Global Asset Management's institutional ETF platform and alternatives across Western Canada. This role requires building consultative relationships with sophisticated institutional investors such as pension plans, insurance companies, and family offices, while contributing to the firm's growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead institutional sales efforts focusing on BMO GAM's ETF platform.
  • Convert new institutional relationships through proactive prospecting and meetings.
  • Provide consultative advice on portfolio construction using BMO GAM solutions.
  • Coordinate access to portfolio managers and product specialists as necessary.
  • Develop and execute an annual territory business plan to achieve growth targets.
  • Enhance BMO GAM's brand through thought leadership and conference participation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated institutional solutions.

Required skills

  • Minimum 10 years of institutional investment sales experience.
  • Advanced understanding of institutional ETFs and active investment strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales environments.
  • Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong business planning and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and highly collaborative.
