Overview

The Director of Human Resources at Astound is responsible for managing employee relations strategies and fostering a compliant workplace culture. This role involves collaboration with HR leadership, business leaders, and legal counsel to handle employee concerns, ensure labor law compliance, and drive initiatives for employee engagement and trust.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the organization's employee relations strategy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations issues
  • Oversee resolution of complex employee relations matters
  • Lead internal investigations ensuring compliance and fairness
  • Enforce employee relations policies and ensure labor law compliance
  • Provide training to leaders on employee relations best practices
  • Track and analyze employee relations metrics to identify trends
  • Drive initiatives to promote employee trust and engagement
  • Guide change management and communication strategies
  • Support and advance the company's Inclusion and Belonging initiatives

Required skills

  • 10 years of progressive HR experience with focus on employee relations
  • 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience leading investigations and resolving complex issues
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend strategic solutions
  • Emotional intelligence and confidentiality
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Master's preferred)
  • HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR or similar) preferred
