Overview

As the Director of Hospital Labs at Sonora Quest Laboratories, you will lead clinical operations within one of Arizona's premier diagnostic testing networks. This strategic role focuses on operational excellence, team leadership, and enhancing quality and regulatory compliance, all while driving innovation within the laboratory services sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage hospital-based clinical operations
  • Supervise up to 10 technical staff and 2 administrative staff
  • Ensure departmental expenditures align with the annual budget
  • Oversee recruiting, training, and personnel evaluations
  • Enhance regulatory readiness and quality control within the lab
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including medical directors and external customers

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Four years of leadership experience with direct reports
  • Knowledge of laboratory management and clinical operations
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance
  • Proficiency in software programs related to healthcare
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for auto insurance coverage
