Overview

The Director, HNW Wealth Planner is responsible for providing advanced financial planning and holistic wealth guidance for high-net-worth clients both domestic and international. The role involves collaborating with financial advisors and product teams to develop customized planning solutions that account for complex tax considerations and wealth transfer strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, goals-based wealth plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
  • Analyze client objectives related to various financial planning aspects such as retirement and estate planning
  • Develop customized planning strategies, including asset allocation and tax-aware portfolio construction
  • Provide advanced guidance on U.S. federal and state tax considerations for HNW/UHNW clients
  • Design and implement tax-efficient investment strategies
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support complex planning strategies
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advanced planning partner to financial advisors
  • Ensure recommendations align with U.S. regulatory standards
  • Educate advisors on wealth planning strategies and tax-efficient investing

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in wealth planning or financial advisory
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. tax rules and investment taxation
  • Experience with HNW/UHNW client structures
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and client communication skills
  • Leadership and collaboration skills
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license
  • Active Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) licenses
  • Familiarity with financial planning software
  • Professional designations such as CFP, CPA, CFA or CTFA are preferred
