Overview

The Director, Global Trade Compliance Counsel at Arrow Electronics will provide legal expertise and guidance regarding U.S. and international trade laws, focusing on import and export controls as well as sanctions compliance. This role involves leading the global trade compliance organization and collaborating with various business units to ensure adherence to applicable regulations while aligning with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor U.S. and foreign export regulations for applicability to Arrow Electronics.
  • Advise on trade compliance matters including sanctions, customs regulations, and export licensing.
  • Collaborate with business units, legal colleagues, and external counsel on compliance issues.
  • Lead and manage a large global trade compliance team.
  • Communicate legal risks effectively to internal clients.
  • Conduct general reviews of business contract terms for trade compliance.

Required skills

  • Expertise in U.S. export control laws and regulations
  • Experience with trade compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
