Overview

The Director of Finance & Accounting at Rutland Regional Medical Center will oversee the financial operations of the organization, including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll activities. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare finance and compliance, and involves collaboration with various leaders within the organization to enhance operational efficiency and provide financial insights.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and control financial-related functions of the organization
  • Manage accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll activities
  • Maintain a comprehensive system of internal controls and accounting records
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and industry standards
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to advocate for operational efficiency
  • Provide actionable financial insights for resource allocation and decision-making
  • Support the board finance, investment, and audit committee

Required skills

  • BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • MBA highly desirable
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions
  • High level of integrity and dependability
  • Strong leadership skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies
  • Experience in multi-unit health organizations
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows and reporting tools
