Overview

The Director of Finance & Accounting at Rutland Regional Medical Center will oversee the financial-related functions of the organization, including accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll. This role entails ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing strategic financial insights to optimize resource allocation and support decision-making across the hospital.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage financial functions including accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, and payroll.
  • Maintain internal controls and accounting records to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders as part of the hospital's finance leadership team.
  • Provide actionable financial insights and support operational efficiency.
  • Support the board finance, investment, and audit committee.
  • Drive financial planning and budgetary control.

Required skills

  • BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance; MBA preferred.
  • 5 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
  • Leadership skills with a results-driven focus.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and cost reporting.
